MORITZ JOURNAL · HOLIDAY KITCHEN

One kitchen, three couples.

Cooking together sounds like a holiday. To make it feel like one, a little plan and a few good arrangements help.

01

Agree on a few things before you travel.

Who eats what, who only wants a coffee in the morning and who would like to cook for everyone once? Sort out the big differences before the trip – especially intolerances and diets. You only need to fix the first evening and the first breakfast.

02

The first shop doesn’t have to solve everything.

Shopping for a whole week at once often means planning more shared meals than actually happen. A few basics and a simple first evening leave more room. Write the list together, but let one person keep track.

03

One shared meal is enough.

A holiday together doesn’t need a shared timetable. Maybe breakfast is your fixed moment, maybe it’s dinner. One meal can be enough to make the day feel like time together.

04

Share the tasks, without a rota.

Whoever likes cooking doesn’t automatically have to shop, clear the table and plan the next day too. Share the tasks in a way that suits you. The system matters less than everyone simply pitching in.

05

The kitchen at Moritz.

At Landhaus Moritz, the house has its own kitchen. The dishwasher helps with tidying up; the large table gives your group a centre. You’ll find what else is provided in the current list of amenities.
